XPLOR–For the Adventurer In You
You’ll be soaring at heights of 45 m / 135 ft over the jungle canopy, through waterfalls and splashing into cool cenotes. You can drive amphibious vehicles (ATVs that can travel on land and in the water), through caves, over suspension bridges, and through 10 km / 6 miles of trails winding through the thick jungle.
These are just some of the activities to get your blood pumping on this adrenaline-filled day!
When you arrive at the eco-park, which is just a few minutes south of Playa del Carmen, you’ll get outfitted with a helmet (required for every guest), and an assigned locker for your valuables. After you stow away everything that can’t get wet, head off to your first activity.
Put your day together however you like by moving from one activity to the next. What is there to choose from?
There are 2 circuits of zip-lines, 2 circuits of amphibious vehicle trails, a stalactite river float, subterranean river rafts, and hammock zip-lines that splash down into a cenote! (You can do the hammock zip-line as much as you want! Great for those that are afraid of heights or don’t want to wear the harness that’s required for the other zip-line circuits.) There’s also a play area for young children.
You’re always surrounded by stunning views of beautiful rivers and pools, waterfalls, amazing caverns, rock formations and lush jungle as you walk or swim from one activity to the next. At the center of the park is the gift shop and a huge red tiled beating heart—the meeting place for groups and a great spot to pose for pictures.
Included in your entry fee is an amazing lunch buffet. It is a highlight for sure! The buffet boasts an incredible variety of Mexican food, seafood, pastas, salads, fresh fruits and vegetables, hamburgers, hot dogs, as well as delicious desserts. Eat as much as you like (and trust me, you will), and after lunch you can find a nice hammock in the shade and have a short siesta.
Also provided at various locations in the park are refreshment stands where you can get fresh fruit smoothies, lemonade, coffee, hot chocolate and cappuccinos. Stay hydrated!
There is no doubt you will have a full, adventurous day, or night if you wish. The XPLOR Night Fire is all the same park activities except in the dark (minus one zip-line circuit). The park takes on an even more daring feel with torches lit up along the jungle and cave paths! This is a separate ticket. The day pass is good from 9am to 5pm and the somewhat cheaper night pass goes from 5:30pm to 10:30pm.
One of the most popular parks in the region, XPLOR offers an action-packed time of walking, climbing, swimming and playing that you’ll undoubtedly remember and talk about for years!
