True Italian flavor comes to your plate when you dine for the evening at Romeo. This little well-kept secret is a fantastic restaurant that you could walk past 20 times and never know it!

This small and unassuming, open-air restaurant sits off the main drag of 5th Ave by a couple blocks. Yet it still has a prime location on Calle 4 Norte, between 10 and 15 on the south side of the street. It’s an easy few minutes’ stroll from your downtown vacation condo!

Romeo is a very cozy, small and simple restaurant, with an authentic Italian ambiance. There are only 8 to 10 tables and it has a loyal following so get there early if you don’t want to wait! The kitchen is open, so you can watch as the chef puts his personal touch on every dish. The menu consists of everything you would expect at an Italian restaurant—delicious pasta, pizza and lasagnes—long with a very nice variety of seafood to round it all out.

The pizzas are thin-crust and come in about 15 different varieties. With a healthy number of various pizza joints in Playa, it comes down to your personal taste as to which could be considered the best. If you’re a fan of the thin crust you will definitely want to try this pizza!

Whatever you choose, you can count on fresh ingredients, homemade pasta and sauces from scratch. Finishing off your delightful meal is a complimentary taste of limoncello liqueur. (Italians love this digestif!)

The food is delicious and the prices are excellent for the quality and portion size at Romeo. Most entrees run from 8 to 15 dollars [USD] and drinks are well priced also. So sit back, relax and let Romeo do the rest!
