As you stroll the main seaside avenue in Cozumel, enjoying the sights, you might easily miss the unassuming entrance to this delightful dining experience. With an amazing Swiss-Italian menu, great staff and location, this is one of the island’s favorite restaurants.

Stepping in off the street, you’ll see roughly a dozen tables and a bar at the back. The ambiance is inviting, and as you walk toward the hostess you notice the brick pizza oven and a beautiful courtyard that steals your gaze.
This well-established, gorgeous natural setting, with its lush canopy of trees, pairs perfectly with delicious Italian dishes, fresh pastas and seafood. It’s nice to also have the option of air conditioned dining with ocean views! Here at Guido’s you have both. Located just 3 blocks north of the passenger ferry (between 6th & 8th street), it’s easy to get to and is open every day.
One of the best things about Guido’s is the very professional and personable service. The servers speak English well and will happily answer any questions you may have about the menu or any of the specials. If you arrive early enough in the evening, you may even see a local fisherman bringing in the catch of the day! (Tip: if you’re a larger group, getting here by 6pm is recommended as it fills up quickly.)
With plenty of options to satisfy a wide variety of tastes, the menu is fantastic. Obviously the fresh seafood and pastas are a staple at Guido’s and won’t disappoint! Try the local catch, sea scallops and lobster, or if you’re feeling a little more adventurous, the octopus. There are also tender, delicious steaks to enjoy, a variety of wood-fired pizzas, authentic lasagna, and any number of homemade pasta dishes.
From the first bite, you can tell that you’re getting fine cuisine with only the best ingredients. The second generation family-owned restaurant is proud of its heritage and even shares its recipes!
We recommend finishing with the tiramisu—it is by far the best version we have had in the area. Who knows, you might even get a complimentary taste of made-in-house limoncello to round off your palate at the end of your scrumptious meal.
Overall, this is an elegant restaurant that isn’t over-the-top. And the dishes are downright tasty. You will leave wanting to return soon and bring all of your friends or family!
