Casa del Agua
When it’s one of those evenings when you want to enjoy an elegant meal with your family or friends, stop off at this excellent, well established restaurant on 5th Ave in Playa del Carmen.
Casa del Agua is a casual fine dining experience that provides not one but five unique dining atmospheres for its guests.
On the ground floor edging 5th avenue, you can be seated at La Malagueña which is their gorgeous wine bar. Up the grand staircase, located on the second floor, is the main dining area. It’s the largest area (great for groups), and overlooks 5th Avenue. Or you can just enjoy a cocktail or glass of wine at the bar which is nestled up to Casa del Agua’s wine cellar.
Also on the second level is the terrace, a beautiful and popular choice with the sights and sounds of a gentle waterfall. Additionally there is VIP seating in the air-conditioned wine cellar.
Prefer to dine with ocean views? Go up top to the roof garden, which gives you fantastic views of the sea and the lights of Cozumel on a clear evening.
Casa del Agua’s menu consists of gourmet pastas and sauces. Some have a Mexican flair, like the Cochinita Pibil Ravioli, which is slow cooked and seasoned pork. In addition, there are a number of seafood dishes to choose from, such as Grouper with a creamy Rose Mole sauce or Sesame Seared Tuna. Steaks here are also an excellent choice. Try the beer braised short ribs or perhaps Duck Hibiscus.
To complement your meal, you get to choose from over 300 labels of wine from 9 different countries. A bilingual sommelier is on hand to make the decision fun and easy!
For something extra special, visit Casa del Agua when they host a wine tasting. It usually occurs on the last Friday of each month. You and your friends can sample a variety of fine wines that are paired with certain dishes. You might just find a new label you love.
Casa del Agua offers an excellent dining experience in a quaint setting. It’s a beautiful option for a romantic evening or just a relaxed meal with friends. The service here is outstanding as well; you’ll be well taken care of.
Stop in at one of Playa’s finest restaurants and enjoy a delightful meal and a glass of wine!
