Seaside Dining at C Grill
The beach house, as it is known, sets in a prime location in Playa del Carmen, at 8th and the water. For beachfront dining, it would be a challenge to find a better setting along the water in all of Playa!
C Grill is a part of the Thompson Hotel but is open to the public. This chic, intimate restaurant has a lot of character.
The beach house is open for breakfast (try the fresh squeezed juices), until late, serving up your choice of adult beverages. Breakfast begins at 7am and runs until noon, except for Sundays where a brunch buffet is served until 2pm. Drop in for lunch (between 12pm and 6pm) for beautiful Caribbean Sea views with the sun sparkling on the water. Dinner follows, and the restaurant closes up at 11pm.
You’ll love the casual atmosphere at the C Grill. It’s great for a nice, relaxed meal after a long day on the beach. The decor and style are a masterful blend of what you might envision for your dream beach house combined with class and elegance.
Chef Pedro Abascal renders authentic, modern Mexican fare in this charming oceanfront setting. With a focus on fresh and local ingredients, the dishes are uniquely prepared through the integration of an open wood fired grill. The menu is mostly seafood and other varieties of meat with a Mediterranean flair.
The prices reflect the atmosphere of the exclusive, beachfront style of the C Grill, but it isn’t that much more than what you might find at many other restaurants along 5th Avenue. And one thing is for certain – the view makes it all worth it! Most of the dinner plates will run you anywhere from $20 to $30 USD. Appetizers range from around $10 to $18 USD.
Taking seaside dining to a whole new level, the beach house is great for special events like anniversary dinners, rehearsals or receptions. Or just a great meal at sunset!
