Awaken Your Senses

Published on May 30, 2016 by admin

Are you a regular visitor to the Mayan Riviera? If you’re reading this, you probably are! As you know, it’s a beautiful spot and there are many activities for the whole family—beaches, water sports, parks, cenotes, shopping and more.

Even if you’ve done it all, there’s always something new to discover! The latest sensation in the area is Xenses, the new park managed by Xcaret Experiences. (Operated by the same company as Xel-Ha, Xplor, Xoximilco, Xichen and Xenotes.)

This beautiful new eco-park has created a lot of hype and everyone is talking about it! A lot of intrigue about the park added to the excitement leading up to the grand opening June 13, 2016. It promises to be the most unique of the parks in the region.

Like Xcaret, Xplor and Xel-Ha, this park showcases the natural beauty of the Yucatan peninsula. It’s a theme park, but not the kind with glitzy, gaudy, man-made attractions. The theme is indulging and honing your senses in a gorgeous tropical setting.

Visitors to Xenses will experience a sensory journey over land, air and water. There are beautifully landscaped gardens, pools, ponds and waterfalls as well as caverns throughout the grounds. Activities include zip-lines, waterslides, 3-D movies and animal exhibits. The goal is to provide an extraordinary half-day excursion for the whole family, with age not being an issue.

Challenge yourself in the underground labyrinth! Solve mind puzzles and optical illusions as you navigate a half-real, half-fantasy landscape. Relaxing activities are interspersed throughout so you are left feeling rejuvenated and refreshed. Your senses will be completely awakened and you’ll be a “Xensei” at the end of the day!

Right now you can take advantage of the grand opening promotion: tickets purchased before June 12, 2016 are 20% off. Visit the official website for more info.

If you want to venture off the beach and do something totally unique, check out this gorgeous new park just 4 miles south of Playa del Carmen.
