3D Museum of Wonders

Published on May 15, 2017 by admin

Playa del Carmen’s first museum is now open—and it’s not just any old, dusty, stuffy museum!

Filled with over 60 interactive exhibits, this unique 3D attraction offers entertainment for the whole family. It’s a great option for a rainy afternoon when everyone is a little restless and wanting to get out and stare at something other than each other!

As you visit the museum you’ll be snapping photos left and right! You can capture mind-bending pictures as you pose in the displays.

The stunning 3D artwork creates a lot of optical illusions, giving you great mementos of your trip to Playa. Pose sitting inside a giant soap bubble, surfing a cresting wave or battling a medieval dragon!

Since its grand opening in December 2015, the museum has been very popular. It’s conveniently located in the heart of Playa del Carmen and is an easy walk from your beachfront condo. It occupies the top floor of Plaza Pelicanos (on 10th Ave between 8th and 10th streets).

The museum is open everyday from 9am to 10pm and has a friendly staff to guide you if you wish. Admission is about $20 USD (320 pesos) for children and $25 USD (400 pesos) for adults. If you have local status, visit the museum on Sunday for a 50% discount (with identification). To enjoy all the artwork, plan to spend about 2 hours in the museum.

Swing into the 3D museum of wonders to put a different perspective on your next trip to Playa del Carmen!
